ICAN-B was inspired by the Davila family and launched in 2015 with one goal: use the science of behavior to improve lives. Today, ICAN-B serves hundreds of families across California — and has expanded internationally to Hong Kong and China through ICAN-B Asia.

Information About Autism
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterized by challenges in the following domains

Social: Initiating conversations, eye-contact, playing with peers, age-appropriate activities. ICAN-B runs social skill camps year-round.

Communication: Responding to questions, identifying objects, requesting with words or alternative communication systems.

Behavior: Reduction of problem behaviors (tantrums) and increases in desired behaviors (using language to request).

Symptoms: Hyperactivity, impulsivity, short attention span, aggression, self-injury, unusual eating/sleeping habits.
Autism is a spectrum disorder — each individual is unique, just like their needs. It is our job as caregivers and educators to guide them onto the right path toward a more independent and happier life.
ICAN-B is certified as a Non-Public Agency (NPA) provider through the California State Department of Education CDE to provide services for school districts. Please contact us if your district is interested in contracting with us for BII and BID services.
